Due to the recent cold spell Fix-My had to respond to an emergency call out due to a burst pipe. The pipe was outside and connected the outside water tap but was causing a lot of water spillage and the client was concerned that the water would all turn to ice the following morning. Read more →
This week we’ve been cleaning gutters – a very important task. Back up gutters will cause leaks and damage to your home. This should be done yearly at the very least. Have you had your gutters cleaned? If not give us a call!
A customer has moved house and needs her retro lights to be fitted in her new home. A simple spot of re-wiring to get the placement right.
Also put up custom shelving units in three cupboards, making them much more user friendly. At least she can put away her things in an orderly fashion now.
We installed a new security bolt and door chain today. The client now has the peace of mind that their home is safely secure. We provided the security bold and door chain and had it fitted quickly.
Today we completed a bathroom that a couple of enthusiastic DIYers have not quite found the time to complete… in the last 5 years! They started out promisingly enough however stumbled and never quite finished it. To the extent that I also had to do some repair to the bath ledge from water damage.
We pulled up the slate tiles that had never been grouted, put down slate effect bathroom laminate. Mended the bath ledge, re-tiled and re-grouted the ledge. Fitted the toilet, bolted it to the wall and floor and fitted the bathroom cabinet to the wall.
A good mornings work! We were finished by 2pm.
The customer is delighted and now that they finally have a completed bathroom have celebrated by putting the property on the market.
